Due to the many changes in farming in recent years Richard and Caroline decided that they needed to diversify and therefore made the decision to sell their meat directly to consumers.
Nowadays a proportion of their cattle and sheep are used for their own meat sales. People buying meat directly from the Mann’s can be assured that the animals live in the most natural way possible. Some of the animals graze the common lands of Dartmoor during the summer months and come back to the farm for extra feeding in the winter. Animals reared in this way by Dartmoor Hill farmers help to create and maintain the landscape of Dartmoor. By buying meat directly from Great Dunstone Farm you will be directly contributing to this.
As well as selling their meat directly to local customers, Great Dunstone farm also operates a box scheme to deliver meat to people nationally.
